The underlying principal of FRE-FLO™ technology is that Calcium Carbonate, like Carbon as diamond and graphite, can exist naturally in several crystalline forms of the same mineral but with completely different characteristics. As water travels through a FRE-FLO™ unit, dissolved Calcium Carbonate is transformed from a scale-forming crystal, into a crystal that does not form scale.
